Job Description
RLP is seeking a head of product to drive the identification of target markets and align product development with customer needs and revenue opportunities. This role requires a strong communicator and strategic thinker who can collaborate with sales and technical teamstoestablisha strong foundation for market entry, prioritize product enhancements, and refine customer personas for our integrated hardware, software, and materials package.
You will lead efforts to ensure the development, integration, and commercialization of RLP’s 3D printing systems align with market demands, delivering exceptional value across all aspects of the product ecosystem. By bridging technical development with market requirements, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful launch and adoption of RLP’s solutions while maximizing their impact in target industries.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Research and evaluate potential markets to identify high-value opportunities for RLP’s integrated 3D printing solutions, analyzing industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to define RLP’s "sweet spot" market.
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap for hardware, software, materials, and services.
- Collaborate with sales to define target customer profiles, prioritize outreach efforts, and align go-to-market strategies with business goals.
- Partner with engineering and technical teams to translate customer requirements into integrated product specifications and prioritize product enhancements that drive revenue growth.
- Develop and manage product strategies and roadmaps for RLP’s 3D printing systems, encompassing hardware, software, and materials, ensuring seamless interoperability across all components.
- Gather and analyze feedback from customers and internal teams to refine product performance, usability, and market fit.
- Conduct market research and create value propositions to guide sales and marketing efforts, ensuring cohesive messaging across all channels.
- Lead product strategy for the end-to-end product lifecycle, including concept development, production, launch, and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to drive product development and maximize the impact of RLP’s solutions in target industries.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in market strategy, product management, engineering leadership, or business development, preferably in hardware, software, or integrated systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with sales, technical, and leadership teams.
- Strong understanding of integrated systems involving hardware, software, and materials, with experience managing cross-functional product ecosystems.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in market research, data-driven decision-making, and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Proven track record of delivering innovative products to market, from concept to launch and beyond.
- Strong technical aptitude, familiarity with 3D printing technologies, materials science, or CNC systems being a plus.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and align cross-functional goals.
