Senior Full Stack Engineer (Front-End Focus – Geometric UX Platform)
Rapid Liquid Print (RLP)is revolutionizing elastomer product manufacturing with our patented embedded gel 3D printing technology, developed at MIT. Our system enables rapid, large-scale, high-resolution prints using elastomers, creating novel solutions across industries, from medical to marine. We combine advanced hardware, materials, and software to deliver a complete platform for on-demand production and prototyping.
We are at the frontier of digital manufacturing, and we’re seeking team members who want to help shape the future of how products are made.
Job Description:
Rapid Liquid Print (RLP) is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the development of software that powers our 3D printing systems—from real-time machine interaction to customer-facing tools. Youwill build scalable systems, define core interfaces, and collaborate with hardware and materials teams to deliver a seamless product experience.
We’re looking for someone with strong front-end sensibilities and a passion for UX to drive the next phase of our cloud-deployed platform. You’ll design interactive tools for navigating 3D models and managing print workflows, while adding capabilities to the back end and enabling scalable UI patterns.
This is a high-impact role where software performance, reliability, and user experience directly shape product success.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design and implement intuitive, performant user interfaces for managing 3D models, print jobs, and production workflows.
- Build and maintain interactive 3D visualizations to support real-time geometry analysis workflows.
- Develop and extend backend services and APIs that handle large-scale geometric data.
- Collaborate with design, hardware, and materials teams to translate geometry and manufacturing workflows into scalable, cloud-accessible API services
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and performance monitoring tools.
- Collaborate closely with backend geometry engineers and researchers to integrate computational algorithms into production systems.
- Drive development of software best practices including testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and system observability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years building production web applications with both client- and server-side ownership.
- Deep proficiency in React/Next.js or Vue, TypeScript, and modern component-driven design.
- Proven experience designing and deploying scalable back-end systems and RESTful APIs (Node.js, C#, or C++).
- Comfortable with Firebase / GCP services (Firestore, Auth, Functions, Storage, Pub/Sub) and/or container orchestration.
- Strong grasp of software testing (unit, integration, regression) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, etc.).
- Understanding of data models for hierarchical, spatial, or relational workflows.
- Collaborative mindset and history of working with cross-disciplinary teams (hardware, materials, research).
Bonus
- Background in computational geometry, CAD/CAM, or 3 D-printing workflows.
- Experience integrating native geometry engines, WebAssembly, or high-performance C++ services into cloud stacks.
- Familiarity with scientific computing libraries (Eigen, NumPy) and geometry kernels (CGAL, OpenCascade).
- Prior mentorship or technical-lead experience.
Benefits Overview:
- Health + Dental + Vision
- 12 weeks paid parental leave
- Stock options
- No set limit to vacation days
- 401(k) plan
If you’re passionate about emerging technologies and want to help manufacturers create the next generation of products, we’d love to meet you.
